I am using the ACES cct in Da Vinci to do the coloring work.
When I am satisfied with the overall contrast adjustment of a picture
The details of the dark part are compressed very dark, almost cut off the details,
Like the hair on the picture, has been compressed into very dark, this is not what I wanted (because the movie still in production, made a mosaic processing)
I want to know how I can adjust this part separately to get the information back.

Use log shadows control. As a rule of thumb Log controls works much better on ACES.

But it will affect the picture that you don’t want to be passive.
