We’re lock to ACES 1.2 because Maya 2024 not read all the data of my custom ACES 1.3, like a real sRGB input / output from (using output sRGB as input to get sRGB like sRGB) ACES 1.2 I made, working in all others softwares with 1.3 but Autodesk as usual not working easily.
What kind of file do you mean exactly? If you mean video then you need to know what color space it was shot in. Typically SLog3/SGamut3.cine but you will have to verify with who shot it, or Catalyst Browse, Sony’s free media viewer app, can also show you this data.
