To the ACES Community,
At our most recent Architecture Technical Advisory Council meeting, the Output Transforms Working Group reported that they are making progress but would like additional time to bring the group to consensus on some important issues related to requirements and design of the output transform algorithms. The group meets weekly and the Architecture TAC is currently focused on three lines of output transform development. The group’s progress is being reported to the TAC and ACES leadership on a regular basis.
The ACES Project Plan (created in 2020) called for an ACES 2.0 “Release Candidate” to be available in October 2021. We will revise the schedule as soon as we get an estimate for the Output Transform Working Group deliverables. We anticipate being able to provide more information as to the schedule in early February.
