I discovered that when working in Resolve and ACES workflow, that with DCDM input material, the result is different when using ACES than with color managed Davinci workflow. With ACES, the result is less saturated and a cooler tone. I used IDT= DCDM and ODT=REC709.
The same operation in EasyDCP, i.e. export from DCDM or DCP to REC709 gives the same result as Davinci color managed workflow, and the ACES workflow in Resolve also differs. To check, I made a conversion using 3D LUT in the Latice software. The result coincided with EasyDCP export and with Davinci colormanaged. But with ACES workflow the result is different.
Anyone why?
