Here is a ramp going from 0 to 4, (with gamma 0.75 in the viewer)
Not only the Simple operator (top part of the image) compresses more thus less saturation which is IMHO not desirable at this stage of the pipeline as we should touch the image the less possible but the graft point is visible on my screen.
